Que Pasa Festival Of Virginia – The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) organizes the annual festival with the generous support from their sponsors to celebrate and showcase Virginia’s diverse Latino community and businesses. The festival highlights the food, music, and art of Virginia’s Latin American communities. Every year Richmond’s Canal Walk undergoes a transformation to resemble the famous Floating Gardens of Xochimilco (in Mexico City) for the annual ¿Qué Pasa? Festival to celebrate “Cinco de Mayo” and the Latin American community of greater Richmond. We will offer free boat rides in the “floating gardens,” live Latin music and performances along the Canal Walk while visitors enjoy scrumptious Latin-flavored food , beverages and shop for arts and crafts. The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (VAHCC) will celebrate Hispanic Heritage, at the annual Que Pasa Festival of Virginia, from 11 A.M. to 7 P.M. on Richmond’s historic Canal Walk in Shockoe Bottom. The festival brings together the rhythms, culture, and cuisines of Latin America and Spain. Attendees will enjoy the colorful works of art from local artisans and enjoy the view of the beautifully decorated canal boats adorned in the style of Xochimilco, Mexico City’s Floating Gardens.
